What We Do

At The Body Mechanics, we focus on Orthopedic/Medical Massage (better known as Orthopedic Manual Therapies) as well as PreNatal and Postpartum Massage Therapy techniques that have been proven to be effective in reducing pain and symptoms associated with specific injury or specific medical conditions.  We are Health Care Professionals and your treatments are in a clinical setting with clinical evaluations and Medical Manual Therapy Techniques that yield proven results.

When you come to The Body Mechanics, we develop a treatment plan specific to you and your condition/issue.  We begin every treatment plan with a thorough medical history and with optional movement and balance assessments as needed.  This gives us a base line from which to work as well as a point from which we can improve. We focus to improve your range of motion, improve your posture, improve your quality of life.  Intake and baseline evaluations consist of a combination of verbal conversation, visual and digital postural assessment, ROM assessment,  and/or movement assessment.

Integrated Health Care

Your Body Mechanics Team feels strongly about multidisciplinary approaches, and that all of the clients health care team should work together for the benefit of the client.

We welcome guidance and interaction with your Physician, Midwife, Doula, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Chiropractor, Nutritionist, Acupuncturist, Yogi, Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer or to whomever you entrust your healing.  After all, there are many paths up the same mountain.

Chelsa Connolly, BS in Kinesiology, Licensed Massage Therapist -Instructor, Licensed Athletic Trainer

My background and specialty are with musculoskeletal injuries and pain management through a biomechanics and science based approach.

Prior to beginning this massage therapy practice, I worked from January 2013 to August 2016 at Panola College to establish athletic training for the athletic department. In addition to my training and skills as a massage therapist I have extensive experience in actively participating with health care teams to provide a goal oriented, high level of care for the individuals I am working with.

I have completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Athletic Training and advanced clinical training in massage therapy in techniques relating to myofascial release as well as specific deep tissue massage focused to improve efficiency of movement. I believe in life-long learning and continually work to better my knowledge and skills.

While I will not be practicing any athletic training, my background in the profession has shaped my thinking process to evaluate techniques with a critical eye to research and evidence based models. I will be working to pursue certifications which will allow me to include corrective exercise personal training specialties into my massage practice

I enjoy getting to know individuals and helping them to establish their goals and ultimately achieve them.

Garrett Hobbs, Licensed Massage Therapist

"Very few people realize how much care a great massage therapist gives to their clients."

Coming from a background of working blue collar, manual labor jobs has given me a first hand experience of what life can do to cause pain. Furthermore, what living with pain can do to your life.

Ultimately what brought me to this profession is a desire to care for people. I decided to attend and complete my initial schooling at The Stone School of Massage in Tyler, Texas in 2021.

My curiosity and
interests in massage therapy and wellness as a whole range from mobility focused techniques to nutrition and personal training. With goals in continuing my education to be able to provide services beyond massage therapy into nutritional counseling and corrective exercise personal training.
